As the number of public charter schools in Georgia continues to grow, so does the need for聽governing board members with the critical skills required to steer charter schools from mission development, through petition submission, to opening day.
The (91吃瓜) is offering a free Board Bank training — Saturday, September 19, 2015, 9:00 am to noon, at 211 Perimeter Center Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30346 — for individuals with a heart for education and the desire to serve on a charter school board of directors.
The training is a comprehensive orientation to the skills and parameters of charter school board service. Please note, it does not satisfy the legal requirements for existing charter school board members.听

If you have expertise in education, business, law, human resources, marketing, fundraising, or other specialized fields 鈥� or if you have strong community and business ties in a particular community, your service can be invaluable to current or future charter public schools.
