The Georgia General Assembly鈥檚 House and Senate Page Programs offer public school students ages 12+, a unique chance serve their state representatives while the General Assembly is in session.
The Legislative session opens in early January and runs for 40 days. Charter school students are encouraged to apply, and their presence in the Capitol is a powerful way to represent the charter school movement.
Students act as 鈥渞unners鈥� in the Capitol, delivering important information and messages in the Senate and House Chambers during the Legislative Session day. Students are assigned to serve on days when the General Assembly聽is session and attend a brief orientation on their day of service.
Serving as a Page is inspiring, and terrific a resume-building opportunity for young聽scholars.听To apply, students must first send an email request to their State Senator or State Representative.听
